Blandfords
We have enjoyed a close relationship with Northamptonshire's leading electrical contractor Blandfords for several years and we were delighted to be asked to create a completely new brand for them.
Beehive were commissioned to design a new logo, re-design the web site (something we had already done some 3 years previous!), provide quality photography of their activities and create artwork for stationery and advertising.

Our first task was to create a new logo. Blandfords had expressed a wish to demonstrate their growing corporate stature, something which they considered that their original logo did not reflect. The business itself is primarily split into 4 different disciplines and Beehive designed the logo to illustrate that fact. Our first designs were approved very quickly with the only distinct change being to move from a single colour to a full four colour logo.

The 'roundel' incorporates graphical illustrations of the companys' 4 disciplines and allows their use in a singular fashion if required. It will also reproduce correctly when used in black and white.
Once the logo was approved we were able to incorporate it into a brand new web site.
Blandfords had made a subtle name change from their old name of Blandford Electrical so a new domain name was registered to host the new site: www.blandfords.net
Beehive then spent a couple of days with the Blandfords team photographing their activities so that the images could be incorporated into the site and other promotional literature.
Designs for the stationary were also drawn up and artwork was produced for the new letterheading, compliments slips, business cards and folders.
The company's vans also had the new logo treatment.
Creating a new brand for Blandfords was one of the most rewarding exercises that beehive have carried out, and although the brand can take many months if not years to establish, the look has received a very positive initial response.
Blandfords Senior Partner Paul Smith said: “We were extremely pleased with the new logo; both with the conceptual and graphic works. We set a very tight time scale to bring the new logo, web site and stationary into being and must say that Beehive worked closely with us and achieved the deadline without any undue stress or bother. We would certainly use Beehive for future projects and designs, and are at present creating our third newsletter with them.”
